Puffin Models Limited Warranty and Returns Policy

Receiving Goods
We are very experienced in sending all items including the largest
kits by mail order, and as a result of the care that we take
we almost never experience damage during transit. Please inspect
your order as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it.
If there is any problem with any order please contact us at
the earliest opportunity and we will resolve the matter as soon
as reasonably possible. Please note that motor and controller
orders will normally be received during the morning following
the order being placed, and kits will normally be received within
2 working days of the order being placed.
Refunds
In the unlikely event that you do not wish to keep what you
receive, please return the goods unused and in exactly the same
condition you received them. The original shipping boxes (where
appropriate) must be used to protect kit boxes etc. We will
provide an immediate refund or credit to your card. Goods returned
for refund must be unused, unmodified, and returned in the same
condition that they arrived within 7 days of purchase. PLEASE
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RE-PACK ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN UNPACKED.
Warranty Claims
Item returned under a manufacturers warranty must be marked
WARRANTY CLAIM, and accompanied by the receipt or other proof
of purchase. Items returned for warranty claim MUST not have
been disassembled, and remain unmodified to allow a thorough
investigation, either by the manufacturer, or by ourselves for
the manufacturer. Items not marked warranty claim will be dealt
with as a repair or replacement on repayment, and will not pass
through manufacturers warranty procedures. Any item replaced
under warranty carries the balance of the original warranty,
and does not re-start the warranty clock. Warranty claims for
items bought from another dealer should be referred to your
chosen dealer.
Jeti Model
Jeti Products carry a 24 month warranty against manufacturing
defects only. We strongly suggest that speed controllers have
polarised connectors to prevent reverse connection. Jeti have
extremely robust quality control procedures in place, and we
rarely receive warranty claims.
MVVS
MVVS products carry a 24 month warranty against manufacturing
defects only. All parts are available for both MVVS petrol engines
and electric motors. MVVS products are produced to the very
highest standards, and we rarely receive warranty claims.
Mega Motor
Mega motors have proved themselves under the harshest of competition
use, and are extremely durable. Mega provide a motor repair
service, and we feed back the occasional crash damaged motor
which is then repaired or replaced by Mega. We can provide a
service exchange service for any factory reconditioned motor
in stock if the original motor is returned in its box with the
Puffin Models stamp (in green on the bottom of the box).
Model Motors
Model Motors are taking a great deal of care over the production
of their motors and other products. Should you feel that you
have a warranty claim, please return it along with the instructions
which carry our own green dealer stamp.
General
For items bought through another dealer, please contact your
chosen dealer. Items returned to Puffin Models must include
your name, address, telephone number, contact times, receipt
or date of purchase, stamped instructions or box, and payment
details for service and return postage. Please also include
a brief note giving reasons for the return including symptoms,
and please state whether the return is for a warranty claim,
repair, or service replacement. The signature for the return

Please de-solder non-standard connectors, we cannot be responsible
for non-standard connectors or other items including propellers
returned with motors or speed controllers. We ask that you do
not cut connectors off speed controllers, we almost always return
the same speed controller back after thorough testing to the
limit of the controller. Warranty exchange and service exchange
items will be on a like for like basis. We suggest that unwanted
model equipment should be sold locally, sold through classified
ads, or auctioned.
