How
to Buy
In
Person
Puffin Models Limited, Unit D3 Backfield Farm Rural
Business Park, Wotton Road, Iron Acton, Bristol, BS37 9XD, Great
Britain.
We welcome visitors to our unit so that we can show
you the quality and range that we hold on stock. We are happy
to discuss how we may meet your own requirements. If you need
power for a specific model that we do not stock, then please bring
the model along with you. We will only knowingly sell you items
that we would be happy to use for your specific application. We
are located about 10 miles north east of Bristol, convenient for
both the M4 and M5. Backfield Farm is located on the B4058 between
the villages of Iron Acton and Rangeworthy (just to the west of
Yate and Chipping Sodbury). Once in the farm entrance, take the
first right, go past the café, and through a gateway (the
Estate Office is now in front of you), turn 90 degrees left, and
we are right in the corner. For GPS users, our Grid Reference
is ST 687 844, and inputting BS37 9XD to most Satnav systems takes
you into the gateway of Backfield Farm. We are normally available
from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, and on Saturday from 10am
to 1pm (this may change particularly during the model show season).
Please phone before setting off on a long journey to see a particular
product or person.
Online Shopping
Our on-line catalogue includes the option of on-line
shopping. All listed items are normally held in stock and available
to buy on-line, however temporarily out of stock items have a
grey button and are not normally made available to buy on-line
until re-stocked. Some highly specialist items like multi-cylinder
engines may be shown as out of stock, but with a note of normal
delivery time when an order is placed over the phone. Our standard
shipping rate for on-line orders is £3.50, with £7.50
for those orders containing a higher rate shipping item. All orders
are sent by appropriate shipping methods depending on size, weight,
and value. Small items are normally sent through Royal Mail. We
have developed special "crush proof" packaging for kits,
and we normally use an extremely reliable carrier with full on-line
tracking facilities, and guaranteed next day delivery. On-line
payment is handled automatically between you and Sage Pay - we have
no involvement with the payment at all. You can find out more
about Sage Pay by visiting www.sagepay.com
On-line orders security checked and processed by 3.30pm are normally
sent on the same day. Orders for spares not listed in the on-line
shop, or if you have specific delivery requirements, please order
by phone.. Order confirmation is by invoice that may be printed
out at the end of the order process. All prices shown include
VAT.
Telephone Orders
01454 228184
We are pleased to receive orders by telephone, and
we take orders throughout the day from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to
Friday, and on Saturday from 10am to 1pm (this may change particularly
during the model show season). We can accept payment using most
debit and credit cards. Card purchases will normally be sanctioned
at the time of order, and cards will never be debited until orders
are ready for despatch. Please have your card with you, along
with your full address details, and your normal daytime contact
number for us to contact you if we should have any difficulty
with your order or payment. Telephone orders received by 3.30pm
can normally be sent on the same day. Telephone order shipping
charges will range from £3.50 to £7.50 depending on

Overseas customers
We regret that our product liability insurance does
not cover North America and Canada. On-line orders for small items
are sent out at the price shown on the web site, and we use the
VAT element of the purchase to help cover the additional cost
of shipping insured by air. Overseas customers should also note
that we must attach a commercial invoice or declaration to the
outside of packages showing the full value of the items being
sent. The cost of carriage for kits and other larger or heavier
items from the UK makes it unrealistic to send items marked higher
rate shipping applies to overseas locations. Full details of postal
charges and postal restrictions for your country are available
at www.royalmail.com If
you would still like us to send a large or heavy item to you overseas
please contact us for further details about transport arrangements
and costs. We regret that we cannot send kits by private carrier
because of the cost and financial risks involved.
We look forward to sending your order!
