Mega motors are produced using the highest grade magnets and wire by a small team of engineers in Brno, Czech Republic. An Asian distributor owns 10 Mega motors for use in his own personal models!
The Mega 22/45/1E is mainly used in larger fast electric boats with 4S batteries, and is also suitable for EDF with 90mm fans using 6S and 7S LiPo (current limit is 100A). This motor can be used exactly the same as the Mega 22/30/2, but the slightly extra weight and length results in a higher torque motor with current capability up to 100A.
Mega 22/20/3 is a 36mm diameter 500 size motor with a 5mm shaft, suitable in boats with 3's lipo, for EDF models in 90mm fans on 4 or 5's Lipo. Thermal soarers and sports models, use 2S LiPo, and pylon racers on 3's LiPo use 7 and 8" propellers. This motor has been used for testing purposes only, and has no box.
The Mega 22/30/4E is a 36mm diameter 600 size motor with a 5mm shaft intended for use with 4S LiPo battery packs as a direct replacement for .40 4 stroke engines in vintage models flying at up to 3.5kg. The prototype of this motor is now with DB Sport and Scale in "our" Moth 40, tuning a 12x8 propeller at 35A.
The Mega 22/30/4 is a 36mm diameter 600 size motor with a 5mm shaft which is commonly used direct drive in sailplanes and vintage models with 3 Series LiPoly cells and 12x8 propellers at about 36A. This is also a very useful motor on 4 Series LiPoly cells with 11x6 propellers. This is a new and unrun motor in a damaged box, and without instructions.
Mega EDF 120 is designed for use with fans of 100 to 120mm diameter, and provides up to 5.5kg of thrust with the 120mm Turbofan 4000 and 10S LiPo batteries. This motor is also suitable for use with Schubeller 120mm fans with an 8mm rotor adapter. This is a special 8mm shaft version of this motor.
